Lots of stealing and breakins going on....

I thought I would give a heads up. Paul J and I were called in on two break ins today where the alarms did not work correctly and they wanted us to install new ones that worked like they should have. Was surprised to find the fire alarms were also not working right. emoDoh It was not on us or our systems. By the end of tomorrow they will be on ours. emoBigsmile We were called in on another last week. My point to all of this is if you have an alarm system make sure you are using it. When you leave make sure you put valuables out of sight and away from windows. It also does not hurt to call your alarm company and do a test or two on your system. One today was an office building and the other was a restaraunt. With folks loosing their jobs and the economy getting so bad this is causing this to increase. As mentioned on another post make sure when you go to the ramp do not have anything in your vehicle that would tempt someone to break and run. Times are getting scary. emoAngry Jmax

I don't know Jmax , but it sounds like he takes care of his customers and also cares about others. Just remember even if you dont have an alarm system please check your smoke detectors these will save your family.

The ones that did not work were connected to their system and more then half of them did not function correctly or not at all. The fire alarm part was disconnected, if they had been connected it would have sent a false alarm for fire so that may be why some rocket scientist disconnected them.(MMMMmm...let see, the alarm keeps going off for a false signal and I need to fix it,.....I know...if I just disconnect them they will stop sending a false signal....problem fixed...man, I am smart... emoBang.) Good point on checking any fire alarm device. Most smoke detectors that are home ones with a battery have a push button that you can just reach up and push it. An alarm signal will sound telling you the battery is still good and the alarm is working. Another issue is dirt, if you have one in an area where there is a lot of dirt like a work shop or garage where you use a blower of some kind the dirt on the syncor can cause it not to get a good read. emoGrouphug Jmax

Our daughters car was broken into on Amnicola where she works 3rd shift. Her alarm only goes off if they open the door. She messed up by leaving her makeup purse on her seat . $200 window for $20 worth of makeup! I doubt the thief bought a Lucky Strike cranker with the money. emoEnforce

Some fools tried to steal my neighbors fiber glass truck camper off his lil Nissan long bed truck last week, I dont know how they knew it was there you cant see it from the road, its right behind my house, either someone that knew them or someone saw it from my street through the trees ?

Anyway they sped off .. and lost it as they left in the driveway .. dumb a** thieves .. broke it in the process.. why they would want a fiberglass top I dont know .. I mean it has no scrap value .. and Ive seen them for free and no more than $100 bucks.. they asked me If I saw anything .. they are always banging around back there and it was mid morning .. heck I don't pay any attention to them his daughter was home just below me her drive way runs right past it she heard some noises .. but she said the same thing someone always banging around fixing cars .. me rebuilding boats etc .. she didn't even look out either .. she saw them just as the rounded the drive leaving just a glimpse of the white truck .. and the camper laying in the middle of the driveway.

It was was about 11am .. I was in and out that morning .. I may have or may not have been here when they tried to swipe it ?

Nobody since Ive been here ever messes with anything .. but I started locking up my building since then.. my dogs bark like crazy if anyone come in the yard .. and if they are out of the fence. .the would be thieves would be chewed to lil pieces lol.. and my mother in law watches our stuff like a hawk .. Id hate to be the thief that runs into her lol .. shes something else
