--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have offically caught the deepest freshwater fish of my fishing career. While fishing a BASS Southern Open on Lake Martin, I was catching Coosa River spots off the bottom in 53 ft of water. Today on Loudoun I caught 9 smallmouth and three Lg. mouth sitting in 60 ft of water. I caught fish from thirty feet down to the bottom. I missed more than I landed but man was it fun.

!/4 oz. jig, big trailer, real slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Wow! That's about 15 feet deeper than we were catching cats today! I guess that blows the theory of "a shallow bass is a feeding bass" huh?

Wow, Carl. Fishing that deep, you could drink a cup of coffee while the jig sank down to the fish. What patience you must have.emoThumbsup emoGeezer

According to my wife,"only when I am fishing". I foung these fish last week in 50 ft. on a ledge. It really dosen't take that long to get down if you use 8 to 6 lb. line.
