Does anyone make a low water pickup besides bobs machine shop in fl. What about a transom mounted pickup do they work well? Anybody have any ideas???

Bob's is one of the better ones. That is what I run. I don't know if Titus does OMC. His cases are considered the best by most and expect to pay for that as well. You also have Land ad Sea LWP. TOOOOOO much risk with a transom mounted one. Just my .02

All right looks like bob is gonna get some of my business. Would it be best to have him install it or is it something I can do? Thanks for the answers!! emoToast

Would have to be stitch welded on and welded on STRAIGHT. It takes a lot of time to "blend" it in. Not sure of your mechanical abilities, but sometimes sending it to them will save you money in the long run. If you are good with your hands and can do body work, you shouldn't have any problem. Those guys can do them very quickly because that is all they do. Hope this helps.

sometimes Billy at performance props has some good used ones you can save some money that way Dont know what type warrenty if any they have though

Where is Billy? I've only been in the ringgold area 3 years. I dont know everyone yet.

My Sportmaster came from Billy and it was used - they cleaned it up, worked a few knicks out of the front of the skeg, and it's been great. Saved a bunch of money. I changed from a Tooters, built in North ALabama (Killen). That shop has a new owner since I bought mine but they make really good ones. I just wanted the larger skeg on the Sporrtmaster. I'm sure my Bullet slowed a little but I feel a little more secure with the larger skeg on there. I'm sure Bob's are good ones, but that shop in Killen is really good, too.
