Anyone got any idea how long it would take a marine dealership to put on a lower unit? I have the unit, just need it installed.

what kind of motor? I had to take mine off saturday morning (a mercury) to fix a forward/reverse problem. it took like 10 minutes to take it off,fix the problem, and remount it, and we are not outbnoard mechanics. all this in Wal-mart parking lot. but we were in a hurry.

Its a Mercury 175 EFI. I am not mechanically inclined at all.

Hey, this is Joey from Chattanooga Marine...
I've been a member of CFF for about a year now, I don't think I've ever made a post but I've sure read plenty of the fishing reports. I'm going to try to start answering some of the techinical questions when I notice them posted on the forum. As far as question about installing a gearcase, is the old gearcase already off>>> If it is still on or off it should not take but about an hour which at my shop is $70.00 at the most a little more if you want to refill your housing with new fluid.
