Anyone have this depth finder? Do you like it? Is it hard to learn hoe to use? Is it easy to understand the colors and what they stand for?

I have the LMS-520 at the helm and a LMS-334 at the trolling motor with the lowranceNet tying the two together. Both are good units, I think lowrance has very intuitive menus and well laid out buttons. I have added the map card which shows lake contours, This has been a huge help locating areas of intrest to fish. The colors help to distinguish what kind of bottom you are fishing. I would recomend the 520 to anyone.

I have one in my console and I like it. I am generally not a big fan of Lowrance but that's what comes in most boats. Mine has been in use for about 6 months and I have come to trust and like it.

i just bought one and would be willing to go for leasons and some advice if anyone has time dont have it installed yet but hopefully one day this week thanks for your input

You can go to Lowrance.com and either the 520C or 334C has a free download where you can use the GPS similator on your computer in order to get accustom as to what button does what and the menu page etc.

I've got 2 520C (one on the front and one on the console) and I absolutely love mine. I know how the use the general stuff on it. Marking wypts, finding wypts, ditches, drops, etc. Once you know how to use, you'll feel like a blind person with just a depth finder....... It's amazing how accurate they are with the chip in it of course. I have the fishing hot spots elite chip in both of mine and have borrrowed the navionics but I like the FHSE better than navionics.
