Lowrance 525 vs. 520

I recently bought a lowrance lms-525. I was talking to the lowrance rep yesterday on the phone and he told me that I should exchange it for the lms 520 because the 525 is a deep saltwater unit. Any of you guys have either one of these units and do I need to take it back and get the 520?

The 520c is a good unit. I have had two and liked them very much.

I think the 525 has 4000 watts of power vs the 520 having only 2400 watts. Keep th 4000 watt unit as you will get better detail on your returns with less noise. I have a 4000 watt unit on mine and love it.

I have a 520c and like it very well.

The 4000 watt unit will give better returns when running fast as well.
