Lowrance Guru's... I need help

I have 2 GPS units. I am not sure if I changed something and didnt know it or what but my trackline keeps dissappearing after a short time. I could make 3 trips to lake A and it show my tracks. take a trip to lake B and make new tracks. Go back to lake A a few weeks later and their gone. go back to lake B and there gone. It used to hold them till I erased them manually. Like I said I may have changed something and didnt know it. I upgraded the software on both about 2 weeks ago.

There are no options to automatically delete trails that I am aware of. The only way they are erased is manually or if maximum points allowed per trail is exhausted. If this happens then the units uses FIFO (first in-first out) and deletes points at the beginning of the trail. I would delete all trails and set logging to auto, which is a track point every three seconds. Also check free memory storage--

Go to Menu+Menu+ System Setup+Check Free Storage. Make sure memory isn't full or close to being full.

You might try a soft reset---hold pages and power when turning unit on. Keep page key depressed until unit loads.

What model units do you have?

Thanks Norman, I checked the storage. I have a 520 and a 337. The 520 had 20% used storage and the 337 had 18%. Both had only 1 trail but they were both 2000 points. Guess they were out of space and erasing the old as I made new. I would like to get with you one day. Larry says your a good electronics guy. I would like to have someone check my set-up. i dont think I have my settings set to the optimum specs.
