Just purchased a Hds 7 installed it on boat,fished with it 4 times.Went fishing at Chick today and it seems to be froze on last lake I fished.It is also pops up the alarm saying no gps ?Tried turning off unhooking it and still froze on last lake fished?Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It will not load current lake or rather current position without GPS information telling it where it is. It will stay in last known position. Im hoping you followed install instructions to the letter and didnt adlib. You can find reset info on website or in manual. Since you have no way points a full reboot wont hurt. You can check the GPS puck by a simple voltage check. Look on website for wire connector pins to check with volt meter to determine if the puck is bad. If its new, get another puck

If your using internal gps try a hard reset and be sure to save waypoints if you have any. When you power on, hold power / zoom in and zoom out at the same time and see if that helps.

If your inside a garage it wont pick up a signal. Make sure your unit is outside and getting a good signal from satellites. Tulsa is what it shows after a hard reset. I can pick up signal when I plug it up inside truck, make sure nothing is blocking signal.

Oh yeah. Im still on old stuff with the puck. Sorry. Id say that things messed up and get in touch with Lowrance. They say the service is better now.
Thanks Poleshaker and bronzeback45 for your help got a hold of lowrance and they to had me hard reset the unit outside the garage and talked me through.They said it sounds like there's something wrong with unit and I need to send back.Thanks again for the help!
