Lowrance question

I bought a lowrance hook 9 and can't figure out how to turn on the contour lines. I searched through the graph and manual with no luck. Surely I don't have to have an SD card to be able to use contour lines?

I believe that unless it came with Genesis loaded on it, you'll need a navionics card to get mapping with contour lines. I could be wrong but that is how it is with my HDS units.
