Well I decided since I was off today to wet a line with my Grandpa. We put in at Sullivan's around 8 due to a motorcycle wreck on the freeway. Water temp started out at 63 this morning. We caught two or three shorts fairly quickly. I got my hopes up for a good day of catching fish thinking surely today would be a perfect day. Man was I wrong. We ground it out until about 3 this afternoon with only 5 fish all day. We tried shakeys, lipless cranks, spinnerbaits, texas rigged worms and dropshots. They sure didnt seem to like what we were throwing. We started out in 8-14 ft of water. We fished the mud to 25ft deep with no luck. By 3 the water temperature was up to 70 and with partly cloudy skies and a slight wind I would have bet money we could have found them. I'm starting to think I am gonna need to take a break from the river and try some lake fishing . All in all a good day when you can use a paid holiday to fish because whats better than getting paid to fish. Good luck to all!

Yeah for sure. I couldn't see much as I went by they had it blocked in pretty well. Looked like he was the only one involved unless someone hit and ran. Glad to hear he will be ok. Definitely could have ended worse.
