at the risk of sounding dumb i see this a lot and dont know what it means 1/4 moa when looking at gun scopes in books i know it has to do with adjustments but what does m.o.a stand for thanksemoQuestion </p>
Example.
If your scope has 1/4" MOA adjustments, every "click" you turn the elevation or windage will equal 1/4" on the target at 100 yards.
(All MOA measurements are based on a range of 100 yards) FYI.
So if you see a guy advertising his rifle shoots, "Sub-MOA", he is saying it groups under 1" on a target in 3 shots at 100 yards.
Sighting in your 1/4 MOA scope and it hits two minutes left (2"), Then that tells you that you need to turn your windage dial Eight (8) clicks to the right.
