I FISHED THE MS BENEFIT TOURN. SAT. WHICH I FEEL IS A GREAT CAUSE I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY MORE PEOPLE DIDNT FISH.I HAVE FISHED THIS LAKE FOR ABOUT 30 YRS. I HAD A BOAT WITH GA. NUBERS PULL IN ON TOP OF ME AND THREW OUT A MARKER AND THEN DROPED HIS ANCHOR ON TOP OF THE FISH I WAS FISHING. THIS IS RUDEEST AND MOST INCONSIDERATE THING T HATS HAPPEN TO ME IN A LONG TIME.AND THE BAD PART OF THE WHOLE THING WAS HE WAS GUIDEING AN OLDER MAN AND TWO YOUNG BOYS KEEPING ME FROM GIVEING HIM A MOUTHFULL I DONT SAY BAD WORDS IN FRONT OF KIDS. THANKS DD22FISH emoDoh

Jason and I had a cruiser pass 10 feet from us during the Ratman Tx. Had his light right in my eyes on his approach, turned a bit to the right and said sorry when he came by.

What else kills me is these people that idol by you only to floor it when they are about half way past your boat.

As for why more didnt fish...couldnt tell you. I know my belt is tight this year and the stuff I fish is very limited.

same here kenny and i were fishing a long point throwing toward the bank 2 came between us and the bank right over our lines and ask us how we were doing i told him we were not doing very well because people kept running over our lines he waved and went on go figure!

That reminds me. FishinVol and I were fishing a spot yesterday and some old guy in a pontoon just tootered himself right over where we were casting. We put our baits right in front of him and it never phased him. There are some real dandies out there!

My personal opinion is that we have a select few that use the forum to find and wipe out certain fishing locations by gathering up three , four, or five boats at a time and just pulling in on people either just fishing or those fishing a tournament. I have no problem with people wanting to catch fish I like catching them to either in a tournament or when I've got my kids out. What I do have a problem with however is when someone blatently pulls in on you. This lake is 39,500 acers if somebody is already fishing there go find fish somewhere else. Most of these culprits that are doing this can't find fish on there on by using maps or a depth finder. Notice I didnot say by using a GPS , or binoculars, or a range finder. They just apply the bent pole pattern which refers to riding by trying to spot someone catching fish to plan their next fish slaughter. Going over and over to a spot with shiners, threadfins, or casting nets , hand grenades, etc. is not very good for our fishery. There is thing called over harvesting. I know I going to get some bad responces to this post, but going to your next fishing hole and look at all the gut hooked fish floating around because a few thought it would be cute to gang up and wipe out a school of fish is real shame. And know this was not one of the locations that I personally like to fish but it will be one of the ones that others won't be able to enjoy in moderation. I don't believe in just killing fish or any thing for my personal enjoyment. What this lake needs is people to start using their heads a little bit and have respect for others wither you like that person or not, remember what goes around comes around.

AGREE WITH YOU 100%. People take a "community hole" to a new level on Chickamauga LOL. I've fished many lakes in our area from South Georgia to South Alabama and most recently Kentucky Lake (awesome) and Chickamauga the last 2 years is by far the worst I've ever seen. I've NEVER pulled in on another fisherman to fish or waypoint, or watch and NEVER will.

My best example of low class fisherman on Chickamauga would be when my partner and I found an area last year practicing for the June CBA. We had a fellow competitor who was also out practicing drive by us while we were releasing a 3lb fish. This person happens to live very close to this spot where we found the fish. 5 minutes after driving by he came back and stopped 10ft from our boat to "see how we were doing", to make a long story short WE NEVER HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO FISH THAT AREA IN A CBA! This guy was on the area EVERY CBA and wouldn't leave it for any reason..... No hard feelings it's how this lake works. I've seen people near a place and went back to check it out, but I've never pulled in on someone and never will..... People can say what they want about GA guys, maybe some of them are the worst of the bunch on Chickamauga but one things for sure...... We don't have near the problem w/ this stuff on my home lakes in GA LOL....

My Partner and I fished the Ms Tourny Saturday. I remembered you telling me about the guide pulling in on you. That was a bummer. For me that was a tuff day of fishing. I am from Georgia, I can read a map, Can't afford GPS Couldn't catch fish Saturday didn't really know the lake to find fish, so I sucked it up and took my no fish catching beating like a man. As much as I could have used the tourny winnings it would never be worth disrespecting a fellow hard working fisherman. Even when you are broker than broke and down in the dumps: You can always still give respect.

I know this thread has been hijacked but I feel all your pain. Last week Fishnvol and I went out all night long. After the sun came up we were sitting on a hump and catching some fish, we also had a bouy out. After a bit a white Ranger came and fished the opposite side of the hump, but not very far away from us. Well, I pulled up the bouy and let us drift for about a minute when the Ranger cranks up and goes right to where we were and circles the area, I mean we weren't 20 yards from it yet....then he took off. That was one of the lamest things I've seen on the water in a long time.
