Well its been awhile since I was able to post a fishing report. The past 6 months have been rough. I have had 5 surgeries on my right elbow including a bout

With staph infection that had me unable to even go out in the sun because of the antibiotics.

All of that is thankfully behind me now and I got to go out with my buddy Chris . thanks to catfish1 for some

Crappie Intel we headed out on the north end of the lake to fish some bluffs but found schooling large mouth all

around us so we threw our 1/16 oz bobby garland crappie jigs at the boiling fish and started catching 2 and 3 pounders.

We had noticed lots of fish on the hummingbird from 15 to 25 in 35fow so When the bass were not boiling we had 1/8 oz jigs

we fished deep and started catching white bass from 1/2 to 3 lbs. mostly in the 1/2 lb size . by 10am that action was over

but we had managed over a dozen largemouth a nice little smallie and nearly 40 whites.

Now we turn our attention back to crappie . we found a good brushpile with lots of fish where a creek channel came into the main

River in 20fow but only managed 2 keepers off of that. We then went to shoot some docks and found our fish .

from 10:30am to 2pmwe put 42 crappie in the boat with 30 being solid keepers all on docks in less than 10fow .

What a great way to start my "physical therapy " . the 30 that went home with me weighed in at 26 lbs

I wish I would have sorted and weighed the best 7 but I had a t-storm putting me in a hurry to get them

cleaned and in the house.

I will be back out again tomorrow for more "physical therapy"!!
