We decided on a change of pace so we put in at Holly Circle and fished up the lake between Soddy and Sale Creek. FA got his limit right away and then after falling way behind he made a late surge to almost pull even with me even though I was employing all the front end tricks I could think of.

Of thefirst 13 fish we caught, 10 were Smallmouth. I caught some of mine on a 4" Lake Fork Tube Crawand the rest of the fishI caughtfell for a white/ brown back 200 Bandit. Al caught his fish mostly on small worms and acouple on a whiteSB.

The last 10 fish we caught were all spots.

Today was like a CFF reunion. We saw Shocker and Nauticman on the water and Kingfish at the ramp. He helped us with a boost. I had a battery connectionon my truck totighten upwhenI got home.

Beautiful morning onthe water. It did get hot before we quit though. We fished from a little after7:30 until about 2:30.

Good seeing both of you. And congrats on FA getting his limit. You are a good guide! emoThumbsup

Good report, MB. Glad that FA got his limit early. It takes great skill to catch a fish that small. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Nice to chat with you guys today, y'all did well with the fish and, yes, it got hot with no breeze. I had to soak my shirt and hat in the lake to cool off. I'm posting a report also.

Regards, Nauticman

that we wuz..... such a beautiful day in the neighborhood and we caught fishes.... great meeting new folks on the lake... that was Joe Turner with the Shocker and thank you Lord for having Bob at the ramp.... I hate having to get out of the truck and banging on the battery posts with a fire extinguisher.... life saver kingfish.....yes nauticman it did get hot out there......good seeing all you folks out on the water.... now, to tell on MB.....worst case of front ending I have ever seen..... he had me down 10 ---2 before I could even see the bank... WOW what a great time we have together out on the water....I kept waiting to catch the big one but it never happened...crap that one bank we were fishing had a bunch of smallies on it and I know we didn't expect for that one strip to have that many on it... but it was nice to see the small mouth population growing nicely on the chick....many moons ago a bunch of us would fish Watts Bar and bring them down here and turn um loose... yeah, I know we wasn't supposed to do that but look at um now... nice catching the brown fish down here...good day and thanks Lord for a beautiful day.... shocker - 8/25/2013 8:53 AM Did the longear sunfish put up a good fight.

It struggled mightly, but FA prevailed. Even though, it was nip & tuck there for a while. I expected him to holler for the net but he decided to "lip" it!emoLaugh . That is, he picked it up by the crankbait lip.
