I just read DK's report. What he said to me was that he wanted to go in his boat because he wanted to fish where he wanted to fish. Actually, he fished mostly the same places I fish, so I didn't mind. I was just glad to get out on the river on such a beautiful day. The first picture was my typical view of the bank all day. I did try a sort of similiar lure to the one DK was using, but I did NOT catch my other two fish on it. I caught all 3 of my fish on a yellow/brown 200 Bandit. I tried a beaver, a white spinnerbait and a fat albert grub. All to no avail.

Fat Albert had a commitment to his Church quilting bee or whatever and I was just Kidding about DK frontending me all day. I can't blame my poor showing on that. It was just one of those days. Maybe I'll do better next time.

been there done that many many times and dont regret any of em-keep up the good work!

It is sort of hard to tell by those pics, but old DK is 40 lbs lighter than he was in November, thanks to the Dream Drops program that Dr Phil put me on.

We had a blast today. I really didn't front end Alan at all. We just hit one of those eddy spots and the current was turning my boat around and it was MB's idea to get this shot and post it on the forum. If those bass ever get on crankbaits real good, then MB will wear me out, but as long as they will hit flukes, and swim baits, then I have a chance to shine.

Let's do this again, MB, when the Fat one can get permission to go with us. That may be in the fall after BB now. He is running a taxi service I reckon. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

BTW, the name of my boat is "Visitation" and if FA wanted to do church work, he could always tell Jane and the Pastor that he was on Visitation and could get away with it. emoBigsmile emoGeezer They wouldn't know the difference. emoUpsmile

emoLaugh Boy,....that is low, not only did he front boat you but it would appear from your picture he even tried to put up a wall with the net, seat, his body, all his stuff and then put the boat looking straight at the bank with you behind him. emoTskTsk He should be ashamed, I am sure it had nothing to do with Dk's skill and your lack of..... emoBigsmile Thanks for the laugh and sharing your day with us.....Jmax

I'm sure most of you have heard someone say..."I enjoy watching my partner catch fish just as much as catching them myself!" Well, guess what, that's a bunch of hooie! Not when you are fishing with the best!! For me, that only works when I'm fishing with a newbie. Against DK, I want to WIN!!!! emoHoppingmad
