Main lake bass 8/4

Fished for ~50 minutes today, the family was out of the house and I just decided to try for some jump fish out there. The fish were there, caught 8 bass, most of them were LMs. One spotted bass. There is a main lake area that seems to hold them this time of year and they hold over about 15-20 feet of water where an eddie is formed. I usually keep the boat over 40 feet and throw to the edge of the eddie. I caught all of them but one walking the dog with a rattlin' chug bug, my favorite. There were jumps that came up off and on while I was out there. All of the fish were 14-15 inches, what a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use the chug bug myself. Recently I found this lure at the SW. called a Creek Chub Knucklehead jr. Its a jointed top water like a chug bug. You ought to check em out next time your there polo.

Hey polo, did you ever mark any larger fish down along the first break? I've had fishing fever since last weekend at that spot and hope to hit it tomorrow. However, I'd like to try a little deeper for some some of the better fish that hang there.
