If they use the same format as usual I'm thinking that's the way it should work. When they catch those smaller bass it's always based on if it's 1lb. or more -- and not inches. They might have to make some slight changes. emoScratch

Yes that is correct they will catch weigh and let them go right then. I almost posted this earlier in the week, I went to Bass University and Gerald Swindle was going over their schedule and he said Chickamauga was after the NC lakes but it didn't say any other info on it so I was not sure. This might be a great one for them, a week before the full moon hits they will be catching them multiple ways and I would bet there will be some big ones caught. They have to be at least a pound, if the fish is a pound they can weigh them even if they are not 15 inches or even 12 inches long.

I like the catch and instant release. Does it go on # of fish or total weight?

I thought they keep the lake a secret from the anglers. What changed? I know a lot more guys are fishing it now. Did they make adjustments to allow for more fishermen?

Only the Cup/Select events are kept a secret. The MLF Tour is like the other orgs- pre- scheduled and 2 day practice. All 80 competitors (by invite only), of the tour are signed to a 3 year contract. as some guys in the points system drop off, others can qualify to fish. You can get most all your questions answered on the FAQ page. This is the place to learn the system as well as reading the rules. fyi...

Thanks for clarifying! I didn't realize they fished tournaments with that many anglers on the water at the same time.

I’m a big fan of MLF. Me and my brother are arriving on the 14th to fish for that whole week as we do every Spring. Given the catch and release format of MLF, do you guys think the fish will have lock jaw or be finicky that week after being pounded by the big guns the previous week?

I wish they would get semi permanent lock jaw so all the out of towner's would disappear and us locals could have our lake back.

Believe me when I say the majority of us locals feel the same way, they just don't have the cojones to say it!

Bill
