Wife went to the cheap theater for a girls night out movie, and while there some no-good, dirty, low-down, scum-of-the-earth thief broke out the read window on her Suburban. They got my GPS navigation unit, and get this..my daughters bible! What kind aof a rottenemoBadLanguage steals a girls bible??? emoBang emoBang emoBang emoBang emoBang

So sorry to hear that Spur! I just don't leave anything in the car anymore.... And when I park somewhere, I will drive around for a second or two to find a spot up front and where a lot of traffic is. Mary had her purse stolen out of her Mercedes a few years back and it took 17 mos to get the forged check thing and the stolen passport thing all squared away. It took a video surveilance at a Sam's Club showing a different person writing the check to finally convince the bank that we had not pulled a scam,but it still hurt her credit rating and banking for that same 17 mos. That in itself was enough for us to be more than protective of where we park.... Hope they catch them and you get your stuff back buddy...

It seems like theives are gettin alot worse around town here lately. Untill tennessee follows suit with the state of texas, these problems will never go away. Think about it, if i caught someone breaking into my truck and i shot them, I would be the one they haul off to jail. In tn, they do not consider personal property a good enough reason to kill somebody. BULL CRAP!!!! If a theif stoops low enough to disrespect somebodys living space, or personal property, we should be able to protect what is ours! Sorry for my little rant lol, but god will deal with your theif, one way or the other.

that sucks man. same thing happened to me and my wife last august. they broke the window out and took her purse. this was right after we had gotten back from our honey moon, and we had a shoe box full of checks , cash, and gift cards (all wedding presents) sitting right next to the purse. we had stopped on the way to the bank to deposit the checks and money. the retarded (or maybe just very gracious) thieves never even thought to look in the shoebox.
so it sucked that her passport, $, checks, cards, identity, etc. was stolen, but we came out of it pretty lucky. (still thanking the big guy upstairs for that one)

Theives are really bad lately. Alot of (non racist speaking here) mexicans have been breaking into the cars at my apartment complex stealing radios, speakers, gps units, and anything electronic.

You should check with some of the surrounding businesses they may have cameras on the parking lot that possibly caught the thieves on it.

Erik that sucks man. Did they have surveilance they can look at or anything?

Om a side note anyone that has a carry permit ake sure you carry downtown. I make a habit of it when Im with the wife and daughter but just the other night there was someone robbed at gunpoint close to the walking bridge.

I had the same thing happen last fall at the boat ramp. I went to a glass company on Lee Highway, just above 153. They were the cheapest I could find and had the glass in stock. Just make sure that they get all of the loose pieces of glass out of your door. I have a few pieces still rattling around inside of mine.
 
The wife got a call from the police dept today. Apperantly the thieves are not god-fearing souls and tossed my daughters bible out the window on Wilson St? Not sure where that is, but at least she is happy now. emoAngel

u forgot to mention my other bag that had the digital camera with green duct tape, two memory cards, a disposable camera and some other stuff. Thank goodness my real purse wasn't in there, because it has a lot of money in it!!!

When I opened my bible case up I could barely stand the smell. The people obviously smoked A LOT!!!! but I am very grateful to have it back, since I have had it since I was 2 yrs old!
 
That sucks Spur, that picture brings back painful memories of my pickup at Sullivan's last year. Hope the cops catch the low life crooks, or better yet, hope someone with some firepower catches them breaking in to one of their rigs...
