Hey ya'll I am putting down a floor in my Jon boat. Have already cut 3/4" plywood to fit, will be sealing it this evening. I am planning to put carpet over it. Any suggestions on where in town to buy inexpensive carpet? This is not meant to be permanent. The boat is on loan from my father in law and he may not want it in there when I give it back, therefore don't want to spend much. I am checking at HD and Lowes. I don't need much, about 4.5'x6.5'.

Thanks
-Jason

Hey Jason,There is a carpet company just down from marine spec on dayton blvd that might have some scrap you could use,or any carpet places for that matter,if ya need any help I live in Hixson and would be glad to have all the air tools to make it quick. Taylor

Did you use exterior grade or pressure treated ? If you used exterior grade you need to cover both sides and edges with fiberglass mat 1.5 oz will take about a gallon of resin, if you used pressure treated you wont need to do anything to it.
The carpet is only part of it .. you will still need outdoor carpet glue, the outdoor carpet lowes and home depot will be fine, you can get a better deal in Dalton, but the time and gas to drive down there may or may not offset the difference in cost over the local carpet dealer.

Like Ditchdoc said remnants is the cheapest route most likey, just make sure has the rubberized backing on it
