Mariner 422R trolling motor

My friend gave me an old foot-controlled Mariner 422R trolling motor. With a little wiring overhaul it came to life. However, there is an allen plug in the foot of this thing revealing a little cavity between the prop and the motor itself. Looks like it could require some sort of oil or lubricant, but I can't be sure. If anyone out there knows anything I would appreciated the advice, especially when it comes to the weight and type of oil if any is required.
