Neighbor Hal and I put in at the Riverpark and ran down to the Bend. Started fishing at 5:30. Fished the inside bank until sundown. Caught 19 spaaats total. I fished a green pumpkin "Fat Albert" grub on a 1/16th jig head and Hal threw a Tn Shad 300 Bandit. The grub outfished the bandit but not by much. Most fish were small. Hal caught the largest at 14 1/2"(released). We took a 10 fish limit back to the ramp. Had no trouble giving them away.

Water temp was 60 degrees. According to TVA, the current was 18,000 CFS at 5:00 and was cut back to 9000 at 7:00.

As we were leaving the park, there were 15 or so police cars in the park and they were in the process of closing the park because of disturbance between a bunch of young people. I hope the Riverpark does not become a Saturday night hangout kind of place.

I'm glad to see you out again, MadBomber. Catching them Spaaats. How are the wee ones?

The wee ones were quite frisky! You may notice that I was cleaning up Mr. Wiskers leftovers!

Yea, they are having some real issues with the younger crowd at the River Park. It's a very nice looking place, and I would sure hate to see it become worse.

Nice spaaaat there. emoThumbsup emoThumbsup

As a side note, what kind of reel is that Hal's using????

Good report MB. Glad to see you got out on the water and had some fun!emoPoke

As far as problems at the River Park, I had heard about the issue down there from some friends that are cops. Let's HOPE that it doesn't turn into the same issue that came about about 8 or 9 years ago on Hwy 58. A bunch of hooligans and thugs would gather at Booker T Washington Park and then ALL move to the parking lots on Hwy 58 and generally try and cause trouble. I can't understand why some segments of society can't respect one another or anyone else for that matter. No respect for anyone else but then they gripe about not getting respected. Go figure.

It's called "Guide Gear". It's got like 40'leven ball bearings in it. He bought one for him and me. They are smooth reels.

That's really sad that those type of things are going on at our River Park. Hopefully it is not going to happen again. Great to see a post from you MB about your beloved spaaaaats! You are the spaaaaaat king you know.

Great to see you got on the water Alan. My offer still stands too. Anytime you wanna bring those little ones here, we'd be happy to watch them.

Tight Lines!
