Melton Hill Lake ?

I grew up on that lake, but have not fished it in years. It’s a small lake and the temperature can swing wildly. The fish are smaller than what you’ll get on the bigger lakes like Ft. Loudoun. There was lots of milfoil from Solway on down to the dam.

Tough lake to fish-lake levels and temperatures are drastically affected by discharges from Norris- the big surprise is the occasional musky. Best launch sites are at the dam and Solway area of Oak Ridge. Watch the depth finder for shallows in apparent open areas. Try a fluorescent floating worm. Good luck
