I have a ? and hopefully Someone may know the answer for me ( >> James << ). I have a Mercury '02 150 HP with power-trim. My gauge in the dash is brand new and works exactly as my old gauge did. Therefore I know it is not my gauge. Or I do not know for sure,

The problem I feel I have is that when I am trimmed out approximately 4", my gauge shows fully in. When I take off and trim out, the gauge does not start to moveuntilI am almost at running level.

My question is this; Is there an adjustment on the switch on the engine? I have looked my engine over, around the trim pump, the engine mounts and any where on the outside of the engine a switch could be - Nothing. I pulled the cover and could not see any mechanism that looked as if it was being effected by the tilt. Is there a switch? - Where is it? - Can it be adjusted?

Please help !!! As it is, my dash trim gauge is no help at all. I have to turn around and watch my engine to insure it is in the full in position prior to takeoff.
