emoBang Anybody out there able to help me get my speedo working on my XR-6 again. I believe i found the correct hole or induction port or what ever the ehck you want to call it....... emoHoppingmad, went back out on the water it worked ok, next trip no speedo, emoScratch I have heard that this motor is prone for this but is there a cure emoScratch. Anybody got a secret remedy.

The "secret remedy" is to install a GPS to get an accurate speed number if you need/want one. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to keep that small port clear just to get a number that isn't very accurate to begin with.

If you really want your speedo to work then mount a pitot tube on the outside of your boat,very cheap and easy to do,GPS is the way to go to get accurate speeds,the motor pick ups are bad at clogging.

Thanks guys I do have GPS. I'm just one of those guys that likes things to work if they are supposed to. Lol. But looks like I will give in to the hole once again. Lets see who gets that lol
