Merle Haggard passed away

Merle had been sick for a while having to cancel several shows. He turned 79 today.
I sent him a Happy Birthday message and got a call back that he had died.
RIP old friend. I'm gonna miss you.

He was one of a kind. He had so much talent.

Saw him live at the Memorial Auditorium a while back. Small venue but he was so personal with the crowd. I love the old classic country and he was one of my favorites by a long shot. He will be missed.
