Minn Kota ultrex problem

The, less than 2 month old ultrex on the, again.... less than 2 month old boat stopped working today. Prop comes on and works at any speed. Motor works fine with the remote but I am unable to turn it with the foot pedal. When it stopped working I left the lake, took it to the dealer where it started working. Went back to the lake and it stopped working again. Came home done some research and checked for solid connections at the battery. Started working again. Waited 15 minutes to make sure it wasn't another fluke. Stopped working again. Anyone ever had this issue with the motor not turning with the foot pedal?

i have had this problem you have to go in and push the magnet up for the switch i had the same problem on my four trax as well as the new utrex

there is a known problem with the servos/sensors in the foot pedal on the first generation ultrex, you can call or take it to a minn kota repair facility and have it fixed under warranty. my understanding is that they have fixed it in the second generation ultrex motors.
