Today was a "blast" to get back out on the "Big G" again and catch some solid fish on Producer Swimbaits and Bull Wake Shad. It's been a couple of weeks since I've been able to get the opportunity to fish on Guntersville because of the trips on Weiss and Chickamauga, but with some up coming trips on the "G" I thought I might need to get out and see just what's happening. It wasn't at all disappointing! I caught several fish on a swimbait early and then even with the cloud cover leaving and the sun coming out the fish were still aggressive with a Bull Wake Shad. The river seemed to have some consistent current and a little stain from all of the recent rains, which I'm sure helped with the more aggressive bite. The grass still seems to be a little behind from the last few years but it's coming on and will quickly. Have some fun! Mike Carter
