"DANG", that's one of the few words that could describe today. I just sat back and enjoyed the show that this couple from Atlanta, Ga. put on today on the "Big-G". The Producer Swimbaits were really "Producing" some great quality fish for this couple, and they also lost several in the 5-6 lb. range that was a little disheartening, but "WOW" did they make up for it. We stuck with that pattern for several hours and then we made a slight change and the lady got to see what it was like when a "Big-G HAWG" explodes on a Bull Shad Swimbait. The Bull Shad produced a massive explosion and caused a little nerves and shakes to take over her for a few minutes, but after a pic and release of the "Big-Un", we all calmed down a little. An absolute perfect day, even if this couple lost several more good fish, but to get this kind of experience was...."Priceless". Now for a change of pace; The meeting went very well and was very informative. It was a little dissapointing that there were only 2 other guides besides myself to show up for something important as this, but it's understandable, there will be a few more in the near furure. We now know the directions we need to head and the process to get there to get a few changes made. We will have another meeting around the end of summer to go over some details of what the most improtant factors are that we as a group need to persue. THIS IS GOING TO WORK! We all just need to make sure we follow and go through the right channels to make sure we accomplish our goals. We all want to thank Matt Catalano, Asst. Professor for Aquatic Sciences from Auburn University, and our District Biologist Keith Floyd, along with our State Representative Tommy Hanes, and our State Senator Steve Livingston for being there to help with getting this ball rolling in the right direction. We truely appreciate all of their knowledge and efforts in this matter. We also want to give a big thanks to Goose Pond Bait n Tackle for letting us use their facility to hold this meeting. A big thanks to Mike Bolton of AON Magazine and for the media coverage to help spread the word of the efforts that are going forth to help our lake. We can't forget to thank our local citizens and anglers for being there for support also. Thank you. Have fun, Mike Carter
