The last few days on the "Big-G" have been just plain ole "TOUGH"! Not to mention that the extreme hot and absolutely muggy conditions which created massive quantities of "SWEAT"! Back on the fishing aspect of fishing the "Big-G", and besides being tough there is a good side. The grass areas are showing signs of dying and this will create a hollowed out effect and thicker mats on top. With this it should make "Frawgin" a little more productive in the next few days. The Snag Proof Frog and Buzz Frog bite has been doing OK, but still a little slow for this time of year due to the hot muggy conditions. The next few days should bring a change to that and create a better and more consistent bite with the Frog due to the combination of a change in the weather and the grass dying and matting up a lot more. The other consistent pattern the last few days has been with Choo Choo Swimjigs around some of the deeper grass areas. This bite should also really increase as Fall approaches and the water temps start to cool down. The Guntersville Lake Snag Proof Open Tournament is just around the corner, Sept. 11th., we look forward to seeing you there. Have fun. Mike Carter
