Well now is the time that we get to sit around and watch the frustrations of the snow and cold, windy temperatures dominate our thoughts. It's a little dissapointing to have to do this after the kind of very productive fishing that we've had the past few weeks. But on a good note, if there is such a thing during this kind of weather, is that this is a good time to do the maintenance that is required for our fishing equipment. The normal oiling and lubricating the reels and also changing the line that should have been changed before this season started. This would help out when the next time you hang into a "Big-un" that there won't be an excuse for your line breaking because you forgot to change it out. At least during this time while we are doing our maintenance work we can think and talk about the fishing and all of the "Big Fish" that were caught before this disasterous weather started. The good thing about this kind of weather, if there is anything good about it, is the fact that at least it will take care of a few Mosquitoes, Ticks, Lady Bugs, and hopefully a few "Guntersville Lake Gnats"! But really there's not a lot that's good about this kind of weather except we get to look forward to when it does get back to "normal" that we once again have the opportunity to go back out and get on some of the great early springtime Bass fishing action, and with a little luck get our "Strings Stretched"! It's just around the corner before we have that opportunity again and when we do make sure to get out and enjoy it while it's here. Have fun and stay warm, Mike Carter

I saw this post on the thread and thought this guy must be nuts to go fishing today! You are correct, time to get some indoor chores done, indoor being the key word.
