Had a chance to leave work a little early and take my boss and his grandaughter shellcracker fishing to fill up some of his ponds. We had a great time catching a ton of good sized bluegill on live worms. After I had dropped them off I figured since I had a little daylight left I would head back out for about 30 min to practice for CBA. Figured there was not much practicing I could do in 30 MIN, But I am glad I went back out. Went to the first patch I caught some in last year and had 3 roll on a frog, but would not commit. I had 15 min to fish and headed to a patch in a cove I had never fished, but thought it looked good. First cast Boom, one explodes on my frog about a 4.5#. three cast later another one blasts it. Another 4# class fish, About 5 cast Later a monster smashes it. Get a good hook set, and she jumps this one was a big one 6-7#, but of course the one that is the bigger one gets away on the jump. After shaking that one off. I threw out for my last cast and bam another 4# fish. What a ball, three 4# pound fish and one big one that got away in 15 min. It was some fun action. All fish were caught on a brown Matzou Frog, in about a 30 foot patch of grass. After all the chaos, I looked back at the patch of grass i was fishing and it looked like some one threw 5-6 huge bolders in the mat where the fish had blown up on my frog it was crazy looking. Hope I can fish the CBA, I have a wedding that day hopefully I can make both. :)

Just tell me where that patch of grass is and I'll fish it while you go to the wedding!! Man that sounds exciting. Good luck in the CBA if you get to fish.

Thanks Hook, I hope I can. Can't tell you that info haha. Dad still might be fishing haha

Glad you found that area! I'd gladly fish all day for blow ups like that! Now just make sure you can fish the CBA! I need you to carry me!

That would be an incredible sack for such a short amount of time...imagine a whole day when the conditions are rightemoSmile.
