We had 10 boats last night
1st Justin and Robbie 14.28 and also 678 BF
2nd dylan and Patrick 10.73

ATTENTION!!!!
From now on if me or anybody else who is fishing the dogfight sees somebody running down the lake with out their lifejacket and they have proof . You are not allowed to weigh your fish for that night . I shouldn't have to say that before blast off everybody .spread the word . People get killed so many times just simply because they didn't have a life jacket on .im not gonna have somebody get hurt during my dogfight and me feel bad because I didn't "require " the lifejacket . So please everybody be safe and wear a lifejacket . Tell all your friends and everybody you know . Thxs

AJ,

Just to cover your back and prevent any discrepancies in the rules I would write them out in Microsoft word or something similar and post them somewhere, other wise if you disqualify someone over something that is not written clearly for all to see it's going to create all kinds of BS. If you will text me what you want the rules to be I will be glad to write them out and email them to you.

That's just common sense. When the big motor starts the life jacket goes on.

Yes it is, but you can't disqualify someone over a rule that doesn't exist. You need to create rules before you DQ someone in a tournament just because the guy they beat comes up complaining about a rule violation on a rule that does not exist. That sounds like something that the GA only boys would pull in their tournaments! lol

PLEASE include the kill switch!!! its one thing to kill yourself (not wearing a lifevest) its a totally different thing to kill someone else (not wearing a kill switch). we are all guilty of not wearing them as much as we should. very easy for folks just to snap a pic and send it to TD for rules infractions

It's easy to forget sometimes , I took off to the river the other day and didn't even think about it until I stopped and started to take it off but I wasn't in a tournament emoBang

Me and my partner got thrown out of the boat going into a turn at around 68 mph. It was more like being shot out if a cannon. The prop lost it's bite, boat slid sideways and then the prop hooked up. It was 3rd week in February several years ago. The water temp was around 40 degrees and air temp was colder than that. I'm convinced we both lived because of our life jackets. We came out unharmed other than some broke ribs. It would have been hard to swim with cover-alls and multiple layers of clothes. I didn't have the kill switch cord attached. Lucky for us I had a hot foot so it went to idle but was still in gear. We were leading the pack from a tournament launch. Lucky for us nobody hit us or the boat and that there were boats there to get us out of the water and get my boat. I can guarantee you that I run with my life jacket on and the kill switch attached, day or night, hot or cold. I've slowed down a little too. Something like this can happen in a split second with no warning.

several years ago we were blasting off for a night tournament, we were boat 8 or 10. boys were heading up the lake and my partner and i both saw the cruiser coming on pad and knew it wasnt going to be good. the cruiser hit one of the bass boats right behind the driver, bent the throttle cable at WOT. we saw it coming and were already on pad and heading in. the guys were thrown from the boat, neither had vests on and no kill switch hooked up. i put my boat between them and their boat that was doing donuts at WOT. we pulled them into my boat and got the hell out of the way. broken ribs, punctured lung, bumps and cuts but couldve been a lot worse. with hydraulic steering the boats will have a tendency to go straight and away but the old cable steering will usually circle back, would suck to get killed by your own boat. KILL SWITCHES!!!!!!

Hello AJAY,
Gary had a sheet printed out with the rules . He gave me a copy but I have no idea where it is. Maybe Gary still has a copy.

be safe,
Bob Anthony

I will post the rules completely as soon as I send them to Derek , but just so everybody is clear , nobody who got beat by somebody came up to me complaining about it . I was the one who saw him do it , I myself was the one who complained about it , there was nobody else involved in the complaint but me .

Obviously cold weather too. It's also a good idea to frequently check our life jackets, especially the auto inflatable ones. </p>
