Just a question.....I fished the very first dogfight this year with 12 boats and it paid 2 places. Last night had 30 boats and paid 3. Im confused on the math. Im not upset just want to make sure I understand the pay out. I can not figure it out with 2 paid for 12 and 3 paid for 30 boats.

The monday nite dogfight and tuesday nite dogfight have always only paid up to 3 places max. One reason is because if you pay to many the pay out for first is to small. Wade kilgore and robbie magill won $450.00 for first and big fish monday nite. They were first out of thirty two boats and when you beat thirty one other boats on chickamauga you want to win more than $125.00. I know some of the newer people fishing on Monday nite may expect us to pay out like the Thursday nite at harrisson bay where they may pay five or six places but finishing fifth place and getting $25.00 seems like a waste. This not meant to offend anyone at the harrisson bay dogfight because you guys run a very good tournament I just wish I could figure out their method for paying big fish, because its the best Ive ever seen. Its almost worth fishing for just the one fish! I hope this will answer your question about the payout and remember when you finish first like Wade and Robbie did you will appreciate the fact that we only pay up to three places, this lake has some of the best anglers around for hundreds of miles because it wasn't always like it is now these guys learned the hard way to catchem so when you beat these guys you deserve a good pay out. I probably should have told or made the payout clear to people who have just started fishing with us but just didn't think to with so many usuall faces. We pay one for every seaven, two up to fourteen boats, and three for fifteen and up.
