I'm going to try and give a report on our monday night tournaments If anyone wants to read about my weekly failures to catch 5 keepers.
So here goes, we started out drawing no:3 for the blast off so I thought that might be a good sign for our night, not so.We hit our first hole[a ditch on the main channel that has a spring in it]with deep running crankbaits without a single bite for about 20min when the sound of thunder over our shoulder let us know it was time to move.
we barely out ran the squall line into 58 marina where we were stranded in an empty slip for 20 more min. This is not going to be our night but at least we are not in the middle of the lake with this going on! Rain stops so my partner suggests we try some points and a steep bank in agency creek since we were already there.no luck on the point but we did manage to find a nice little school of bass on the bank in about 6 feet of water, trouble was they were all 10-12in long. Why can't I find a school of 3 lbrs? oh well. On to hole no:3
Price creek,I love this place no one fishes it and I cought a 3 1/2 pounder there a few tournaments back.No luck 3 VERY small ones on crankbaits and spinnerbaits and we are out of time . Back to the dock with our tail between our legs again.9pounds something wins first place 3 something wins big fish and I have been beaten once more. But on an up note it could have been worse, I could have been the guy that spun a hub way down on the TN river without a spare! I wonder what time he got home last night?

Great report Ranman! Although it wasn't your night, it's great to here that you still got on some fish here and there. Do you fish tournamants with a local bass club?

You mean somebody spun a prop stranded on the river - I wonder who he might have called for help... My old boat used to blow the main engine fuse without warning. I think I had an intermittent short somewhere in the cheap plastic tracker ignition switch almost impossible to access the wiring. Anyway, I always had to fish upstream from the marina just in case... but I always wondered if a boat gets stranded is there a cell number to the twra, coast guard, or local marine tow one could call for help?

I think they started as a bowater employee club but they are open to anyone.
The guy that spun his hub was taken care of shortly after the wiegh-in,when we
found out he was having trouble.(he wins alot and when he didn't show up we called his cell phone) we took a prop off of another boat and ran it down to him,
no way those guys would leave someone out there without helping them.
Some of the coolest guys I have ever fished with, just can't seem to beat em!
