Big Al hooked me up with some of his soon to be famous Monkey Dust a few weeks ago. I have been so busy and gone so much that I have not had the opportunity to use it much until today. Some burgers and a couple steaks was all I used it on. The beef loves the Monkey Dust for sure.
My girls wanted me to cook them something for Father's Day. Since I got home late last night from Missouri I did not take the time to go to the store. This 10 pound bag of leg quarters was just calling my name from inside the freezer. They got Monkey Dusted and slow smoked for an hour over Wicked Good lump and a few small chunks of hickory. Then I opened up the drafts and let the big dog eat. Brought the Oval XL up to 350 for 30 minutes and then glazed the yardbird with the BW and kid's favorite Sweet Baby Ray's Original. Had some Bush's best on the Primo smoking for about 2-1/2 hours as well. Tater salad, deviled eggs and fresh sweet tea rounded off the meal.
I loves me some Monkey Dust. 'Reckon I will have to check with Al now to see what a couple gallons of this great seasoning/rub will cost me 'cause it will be used regular around my house. emoBigsmile emoHungry
PLease excuse the poor quality photos. I have mastered the Primo but the digital camera is another story.
