hello just curious are there going to be any money payed out for the winners or is it just going to be prizes going to fish it no matter what so really don't matter

We are going to pay 3 places, depends on number of boats as to how much we can and will pay. Any winners that win money can donate it back to the family in exchange for a prize. The cheapest prize i think we have is around 50.00 which is equal to the entry fee for 2 people in the boat... example of prizes.. Quantum KVD signature series rods, battery chargers, batteries ( starting and deep cycles), exxon gift cards worth 50.00, backpack cooler, custom hand painting of a peacock bass by Miles "sonar" Burgoff, the son of Radar on mash and host of Sweetwater Fishing TV and lots more. Big bass will be paid 150.00 cash, 1,2,3 will be paid cash, every position after that will have first pic according to place finished of prizes on table. We have more prizes coming in and don't have an exact list of them all.

Had 8 boats signed up on paper as of yesterday. With quite a bit more saying they'll sign up in the morning. I pray this fishing community will come together for this tournament. It's sad to see that the word benefit makes so many of our local anglers turn their head. I didn't know Mr. Dickerson and I'm not one of the flashy anglers in any of the local clubs but I do know people who did know the man and they tell me he was 1st in line to help out anyone so I'm in to do what I can to help his family. God Bless and I'll see y'all at the ramp.

I am headed outta state this AM or I would be there...The Wizzard & I had some good times....was my pleasure to have know & fished with him.

Hope more will assist.............. emoGeezer emoUSA

I would like to revoke my last comment. I was very proud to see the turn out this morning at Monty's benefit tournament. I think the last I heard was 22 boats. I was honored to be a part of it and hope we done enough to honor the memory of Monty. Had a great day and some decent bags weighed in. Congrats to the winners Trevor Porter and his dad with first place and big fish of 9.04 I think it was.

9.02 big bass and I think 3 fish weight was 17.74, and they donated their big fish prize money back to the family, as well as 3rd place money got donated back.
