Well I was sitting at home and decided before work to hit up the river. Got on the water @ 9:30 and had be off no later than 10:15. I was mainly going out to scoout out some spots for the tourn sat. and see what the depth finder looked like. Well to my surprise I was chunkin and a widing because I wanted to see if there were any fish @ this certain point, and wham. Am I hung? Then the line took off, and out fight started. I had my drag set down more than I had though, and she started taking line so I had to thumb it to keep the pressure on. Well up she came for a peek, and she was a good size. Got her in the boat and when I went to grab her she gave a massive head shake and I lost my grip, and back in she went. Finally got 'er in the boat and weighed her. ON the scales she weighed 4 lbs 2 ounces. I was psyched. Since it was getting close to work time cast a few more times and headed in. All in all caught that beauty in a trip lasting less than 45 min.. Really pumped up the day, and the whole burnt out I'd been going through lately because the fishing had been so sluggish. It was caught on a apinnerbait off a rock bluff in 6-12 feet of water on a drop off. Pic is on the phone, and have no way to get it on here, but I'll see if I can figure out something.
