I have not posted much about break ins lately but it seemed like a little before Christmas they slowed. Only went to one before Christmas that week. Now right here after Christmas they have taken off again. I have been to three break ins just here within the last week. emoBang One was a single female living by herself. It is not hard to habit someone who lives by themselves. She has a job, they watch when she works and know when she is gone. Once that is established it is just a matter of time to hit her when she is gone.

Three of these we know were done during the day. One was done while the people were off visiting family. Not sure if this one was day or night. That one there was a man and woman, kids were grown and gone. They had gone to visit family for the Holiday. Upon returning they came into the home and noticed there were open draws and cabinets. They called the police and went back around the home to find a back door kicked in. The home had been ran sacked and several items were taken.(East Brainerd)

The one before Christmas they got the woman's Christmas presents under the tree and her TV. Talk about the Grench.(North Chattanooga)

A third, the person had just left to check on some things. She returned to her home two hours later and found the side carport door kicked in and the home had also been gone through. In this case weapons were taken as well as several other items.(Rossville) It was right in the middle of the day and happened in a very short time frame. Her husband was off deer hunting and her child was at school. emoAngry

The fourth was another single person living in a home by themselves and while she went shopping she returned to find her place broke into and gone through. In this case electronics, a TV and other items were taken.(Hixson)

You can see by the locations they were not confined to any one area. I would hate to know how many more there are that I never hear about. One thing in common with all of these folks is they did not have an alarm system. I know many of you have told me you would just shoot first and ask questions later but a lot of good that will do if you are not home as in these cases. With tax time coming up many will be seeing a tax return check. We have a lot of folks come on at that time and use that money for the investment in an alarm. If anyone has any questions please give me a call or PM me on here.
We will beat the competition and give you a good deal.

Add to that. My cousins inlaws house. Older folks, the husband at work, the wife at home alone. This happened in Mountain Shadows, EB. Really nice subdivision. Person used a pickax, pryied the garage door up. The ALARM going off, the wife ran upstairs and locked her bedroom door. The intruder went straight to a room where valuables were kept, grabbed old coins and pistols and made his get-away. This says one thing. He has been in the house before, maybe doing some work, etc. He knew exactly where to go. I love what the detective said....KILL HIM if it happens again, and you have the oppertunity.

"grabbed old coins and pistols"</p>

Good reason to have a gun safe or heavy steel locker.  Went through the same thing in March, 1970.  I might add that I have been told if you see evidence of a break-in when you enter your home- get out as they might still be there.  Could we hear from our law officers who are on this forum regarding this?  BTW, thanks to you all!</p>
