Morel Mushrooms in Soddy Daisy !!

Has anyone here ever found morel mushroom in Soddy Daisy .. I just found some big ones near my house .. at least Im pretty sure they are .. I ate em as a kid up till we moved to TN in 1989 .. I have not seen them in the wild since then .. any Morel experts here ? I wana make sure I have Morels that are safe to eat before I fry them up !

We hunted morels when I lived in Iowa. They look like the same ones we used to get. Under dead elm trees was a great place to find them up there. There may be a ''false'' morel... I'm gonna google it and check. Well they don't look like the false ones.emoThumbsup
 
I have found morels on signal...or thought thats what they were too.I didnt eat any but there could be a poisonous fake.I found them aroung wet hemlocks by shady creek beds.emoScratch
 
the folks over at morels.com say YES sir .. break out the fryin pan those are bonified morels ! Oh boy fried morels for dinner tomorrow night

There will be a stampede in Soddy/Daisy now, everyone will be wanting some too, you could become a morel guide around here. They eats tons of those things around cookville.
 
Morels umm umm good.. I know for sure they ain't the Psychedelic shrooms .. too far from the cow field emoLaugh emoLaugh emoLaugh
