Motel or Cabin Recommendations

I have spent a ton of time on the internet trying to find a boat friendly place to stay when we come to the Chick in October. I have seen several hotels in the area but the parking lots they have are too tight for me to get my truck and boat in and out of easily. (I guess I need a smaller truck) emoBang I have an old 4 door dually and when it's connected to a bass boat, it's like a semi in length.

In addition, it also appears none of the options have outside electric hook ups for charging batteries or at least enough hook ups to supply more than 4 or 5 boats.

I really don't want to get into the mess I did the last time I was there so can someone please recommend a place for me to check out that you feel has accomodations friendly to fishermen and plenty of parking. I first wanted to stay close to Chester Frost but at this point I'm open to driving a pretty good ways every day if I have too. I'm open to a hotel, motel, cabin, or a house to rent for a week.

Are you fishing the Bassmasters? I live above the Necular Plant. I have a ramp, but I'm afraid the water will be too low to put in here. I might be able to find a place to park your boat and to keep your batteries charged. Let me know if you need some help or You can look me up when you get here.

Find a overnight parking truck stop with an adjacent Motel or at a short distance. Park your rig with the Semi's and Campers and walk the short distance to your room. Security at the busy truck stop may be better as well.

If all else fails you could camp at Chester frost park. They have showers and everything you need and power hookups..

Thanks for the ideas. The truck stop idea is a good one that I would have never thought about. If it was just me, camping at Chester Frost would work, but my wife would not go for sleeping under the stars lol emoLaugh

I got a PM from one of our members that pointed out a place that has not been on any of the accomodation list I've looked at. I'm thinking this place will work if they have an opening.
