Went this week for some great smallmouth action on norris lake.started out with a 4lber,then 6more keepers,I was on fire emoHoppingmad .I was thinking this is my first stop.big things were about to happen, had a bunch more places to fish.this could be my record day.THEN IT HAPPEND AGAIN.Went to go to spot 2,went to take off and it locked up tighter than a hair in a bisket. emoMad got on the trolling motor and by the grace of god made it to the truck at 5pm.you would think after 4 times I would buy a new motor or some longer paddles emoTongue .Asked santa for a new motor but how is he going to get it down my fire place.MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.PS IF ANYONE SEE A BIG GUY STANDING ON THE RAMP ITS ME STOP AND PICK ME UP.

Sorry about your streak of bad luck. That Norris Lake is really beautiful.
I hope it's not a big deal to fix her again.
Merry Christmas.........

1993 200hp efi tore her down and runt the bottom left piston and head ,the piston been hitting the front of the block .had someone to look at it and he told me that it was the wrong piston.tell me how it could last 1 year with the wrong piston. o well emoAngel

I have had them come in that have been bore .015 over and someone put standard bore pistons in it. Could have happen that way or someone put a forged piston in hole that had been clearanced for a cast piston is what he meant by the "wrong" piston.

Is it the same cylinder as last time? Too many times people will repair what is damaged and don't take the time to figure out or repair what caused the blow. A bad CDM can take out cylinder and usually it is not the CDM on #6 that is bad but another cylinder that the blocking diode is bad on. A bad CDM can be test for in about 15 minutes. Were the injectors sent off and cleaned/tested?

If you can post a pic of the piston. If the piston crown is "white" and rounded closes to the exhaust port that usually indicates detonation or lean condition. If the cylinder died because of a cold sieze the crown will be "black" but the sides will scuffed very badly. This will indicate what type of issue you have.

I have several sets of those heads. If it is not completly destroyed I will trade you a good one for your damaged one straight up. When I build a "O" ring engine I deck the block to use head gaskets and "standard" heads so I can raise compression for performance. The other reason is they have issues of having the block seperating from sleeves at the top due to where the "O" ring sets on the deck. Just my .02

Michael, give Wrechin2 on the forum here a call. Nobody knows more about getting the most out of an engine & he'll always shoot straight with you.
