I've got 20xd bullet with 200efi.My question is this,it's taking to long to lift after you get on plane.I've changed the plugs, fuel filter and did a compression check.Does the prop need to be worked?I run a 25 tempest. Is there something wrong with the motor?I don't have a clue.

What about a leak down test? You can have good compression and high leakage. I can give you several numbers of people who have found this out. It may just be the prop. Tempest are good props but generally you will see more Trophys and choppers on those. They lift the bow very well. Does it come out of the hole and just take a while to get up on pad or what? It may be a set up issue. If you have the prop too high it will slip alot and will not get enough bite to pull the bow. Tempest like to run deep. Just my thoughts......

The motor is set up right.Yes it comes out of the hole o.k.but takes a minute to start lifting. What does it mean to leak down?i'm not real mechanically inclined so any help is appreciated.

A compression test only test the ability of the piston to make pressure from moving bottom to the top. A leak down test is ALOT better method of determining a engines health. You physically hold the engine and induce air into the cylinder. The tool has 2 gauges. One tells you how much air is being induced and the second one tells you how much is holding. Example... I use 100 psi and if the 2nd gauge shows 94 that is 6% leakage. Normal is 8% or less. If you have higher then 8% it has issues either carbon build up, scuffed cylinders, or head gasket leakage. If you have like 80% it is a problem.

Here is a example....
