They only help the hydrauilics and do not support the transom. Some boat manufactures (like newer Rangers) don't suggest you use a standard engine support that goes from the engine to the trailer but to use products like the motor stik. Guess a lot depends on your application. The motor stik will help to keep the engine from bouncing around and putting undue stress on the transom. One thing I have always wondered is when you look at the engine while you are running and go across some waves and watch the engines movement. Almost looks like that would be about the same stress and trailering it. Just my thoughts
alum. tube that goes between your hyd. ram and engine,.....i was just wondering if it would be less stressfull on the boat,i paid $80.00 for my transom support,bass pro got that motor stik for 29.00
