SO, I'm cruising right along and all of a sudden BAM! motor starts to stumbling like the kill circuit is wigging out. So I go and replace the kill switch, only to find on the next outing, to no avail. So I'm at home one afternoon and I remove the cowl and start my investigation. Checking connectors and wiring and making sure I don't have anything shorting in the kill circuit to the power pack. I find a loose connection on the terminal strip and repair that along with some unsavory looking connectors. With the power pack off looking at the wiring very closely I find a small nick in one of the wires that goes to one of the coils. I do as most electricians do I wrap several layers of electrical tape around the bare spot because just the insulation was all that was wrong, the wire looked to be intact. On the next trip same thing couple good runs then BAM! stumbling is back... I get on the internet and most things I have read point to the power pack flaking out, so I order one. Sure hope its right because I have learned in my profession intermittent issues are hard to track down at times.
