Just got my "new to me" Tr20X & wanted to remove the Lowrance LMS520 & put it on my old boat & mount the 798 SI on the new boat. Went into the back compartment & Man, between the3 bank charger wires & all the other wiring & hoses,I don't know where to begin! Any suggestions on somebody reasonable who Icould take it to install it correctly. emoBang

That wont work of whatever is in there has tie wraps all over it. Should be able to take a side panel or something off with a few screws and run it down the gunnell. Or go to Fish N Fun and talk to Tom.

That's what I'm running into. Everything is tied together in the gunnel & can't get to the sump to remove the existing transducer because the plate that covers it has the oil tank mounted to it. May just let Tom look at it.

I use a wire snake to run down the insides of the boats. I tie a spool of carpenters line (Bought at Lowes) and feed it to where every it needs to go. Tie the line to the cable you need to run. Remove wire snake and then pull cable through. It will make it much easier if you wrap electric tape to the end of the cable and up onto the string a little way. Sort of makes a cone and helps the cable not get hung on other wires as you pull it through. Have some one feed the cable while you gently pull the string. If it gets hung just gently pull on both ends and shake them. Should just slide right through. Hope this makes sense. If you need help call me 423 715-0481.
