Moving to Chattanooga.... On the water

Well, after 9 mos of living in Marion County and LOVING THE fishing down here.... as well as making some GREAT friends, we had to make a decision to either walk away from the house we built last June and move or sink more money into this deal to get it done. With the down turn in the housing market, and the more I started to look around on Friday. I felt we could buy more house and maybe get on the water. Today Mary and I went to a place called www.waterhaven.net in Chatt. off Aminicola Hwy and found a DEAL on a little house that will be a great rental in the future. It is right on South Chickamauga creek and has a private ramp as well as slip. My wife noted the close proximity of the railroad tracks, and some power lines. I told her it was not a big deal, it's probably for a short time and a rental in the future.... I'm really happy about it, but need to get out in the water to check it out. Anyone know much about the area up that creek? I've been wanting to learn the Riverpark area fishing wise, and now guess I will be all over it after next week. Getting a boat in the coming week and the planets must have lined up or something.
Also, I am going to need to investigate schools. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We moved to Waterhaven when I was relocated from SC and we really like it. We are on the creek side with a dock as well. It is about a mile to the river and 10 min to downtown by boat. The bass fishing is pretty good from the dam past downtown. Let me know when you move in and we will go.
