Got out yesterday afternoon with Alvin for a quick 3 hour after work trip. Spent our time trying to fish docks, which we did, but the high water, debris and crazy wind made it tough. A storm had just passed and for the first 45 minutes the wind blew from the south around 5-7 MPH. After that the wind changed from the north at about 15-20 mph. Crazy. To get out of the wind we fished a floating dock Polo and I had fished a few weeks ago. We found a brush pile in the middle of the dock and it was loaded with 9.5 inch crappie and few keepers. Caught 25 or so off this spot. The wind let up and hit some main lake stuff and some docks in Chester Frost. Ended the day with 64 crappie (10 keepers), 3 bluegill and a keeper spot. Keeper were hard to come by but we boated 40 or so 9.5" crappie. Water temp was anywhere from 71 to 76 depending on main channel vs the back of the sloughs. Main channel was muddy and had stuff floating all over.

I cleaned 2 for dinner (baked with lemon pepper) and the other 8 went into the freezer for mom. Fun short trip.
