Candi wanted to try bass fishing on the Riverpark and yesterday was the day. Got out a little after 2 and fished until just before 7. Very nice evening on the water up until about 6 when the sun went down and the wind started blowing pretty good. We had a decent day, fished pig n jigs most of the evening beating the banks (well, one bank) and hit some barge tie offs just before quitting time. Ended up boating 12 spots, 3 smallies, 3 largemouth, 3 blue cats and 5 drum. Water temp was around 67.

I tried putting Candi on a good fish but the fish had other plans. Only got 1 keeper size smallie, a few keeper spots and no keeper LM. Size eluded us pretty good. Did manage a nice 20 lb blue cat on the pig n jig. He was about 10 feet off the bank and when I set the hook I could see him roll he was so shallow. Below is a link to a video of me fighting him. Got a few nice drum with the largest going 14 lbs.

Enjoy.

Fishin with Big Bang's SHELDON was like watching a bass catching clinic, up close and personal from the back seat of his Triton rocket boat....note to self, never ask how fast will your boat go with us in it, esp, when its COLD outside! THanks for the schoolin' Sheldon! emoBigsmile
