Got out Sunday afternoon with Alvin and his son Will. Figured with the front coming and with TVA running water in the evenings we might get into something. We started out fishing an area I like to fish in the summer and boated a few blue cats, a nice 3.45 lb smallie, a chunky 16" largemouth andlittle spot all on drop shot Gulp minnows. Alvin lost a smallie out of this spot as well. Madea move to our favorite rip rap fall bank and right off I get a 2.95 lb smallie on a pig n jig. Boated a few more blues a couple of channels, a short LM, Alvin got a redbreast and I got another 2.5 lb smallie. Me and Alvin both broke off on good size fish, probably blues or drum.

Ended the 3 hour trip with 11 blues (largest being 10 lbs), 2 channels, 3 smallies, 2 largemouth, 1 spot and 1 redbreast. Not too bad. All fish came on drop shot Gulp and pig n jig. Water temp was still 76 degrees.

Wiskers is still alive and well from the looks of that picture. emoThumbsup Glad to see that you and Alvin are still out there stretching a line. Isn't it about time for the 100 bass a day program? emoTongue Jmax

Dont think 100 bass a day will happen this fall. I cannot catch a spot to save my life right now. It will get a lot better when the water cools off more, but right now for me bass fishing down there is tough.

Nice fish Michael, good to see you back at it again. Thanks for the report and looking forward to some more.

Regards, Labman
