12-13 May 2014 Lake Guntersville – This report is for yesterday and this afternoon…Guntersville continues to be great. Yesterday a couple great guy’s from Chattanooga fished with me and today, after spending the morning catching Smallmouth on Tim’s Ford, we had a corporate trip out of Waterfront and the guys put it to them again. While most fish where in the 2-3.5 pound range, they did caught a bunch of quality fish in the 4-7 pound range. We fished main lake ledges and stump fields next to old creeks channels. Water temperatures are ranging from 77-80 degrees depending upon time of day and location. Our best fish again came on a Rapala DT 20 crankbait with the vast majority of the fish came on a Football head jigs from Tightline Jigs in a Green Tequila follow closely by Tomahawk Worms rigged on a ½ to ¾ ounce shaky head; all worked in 12 to 21 FOW. Now is the time to get you reservations in for the top water bite and the Shad Spawn in May, the ledge bite will be in full swing by the end of the month as well. I have days and professional guides available; make your reservations now for some great spring action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford with full time Professional USCG Licensed and Insured guides. We supply all fishing gear including Duckett Fishing Rods, LEW’s reels; Top quality lures such as Rapala Lures, Missile Baits, Tightline Jigs and Vicious Line. We offer a Military Discount and the dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
